The bet

My starting bet: the OS for these existing businesses is the agentic system that operates them, not the channel through which they communicate. AI can probably take over part of an existing business, transform it or replace it. Which part, in which vertical, in which workflow, in a way that's cost-efficient, effective, and impactful: that's what a hundred conversations decide. Bias toward 0-to-1 jumps. Insight isn't a starting point. It's something you build.

So I'm building it in public: counter, diary, quotes, contradictions, including the numbers that make me look stupid. Synthesis publishes May 15, two days before my a16z Speedrun and YC applications go in. Those are deadlines. The POV is the output.
